Code, remote living and end-of-career
Our world is managed by code.
My world will very soon be an 11m mobile trailer home.
Today I put these two things together and decided that my next “career” will involve crafting code.
For two reasons:
– to understand how our world works
– to better understand what it meant (past tense) to be a Business Analyst
– to be able to work from my home (okay, three)
– to become a craftsman (four)
A quick scan of the internet suggests that Python is the way to go. So Python it will be.
And a quick messaging session with someone with a wealth of experience highlighted this; that my desire to write elegant code meshes well with the need for code to be testable. Testable code *is* elegant code.
Crafting elegant, testable code is something I can aspire to. And finishing my working life doing that, from a house I crafted myself seems like a pretty cool thing to do….
